Suzy Raymor, Painter
Art and creativity has been a part of Suzy’s heart and being as long as she can remember. As a child her first art piece stirred an excitement and confidence in her. Years later she became inspired to cut, color and style hair. After receiving several bad haircuts of her own, she became a license hairstylist and eventually a prospering salon owner at the young age of 20. Suzy partook in the industry during the most creative hairstyles ever, the 80’s! No hair color or cut was too challenging for this girl! Suzy’s passion stemmed into (creating and organizing) (orchestrating) hair and fashion show fund raising events with her staff in her area. Her most accomplished feat was the creation of a non-profit organization “Aid to Abused Children”. All these events, her love of Hair, Fashion, Party Planning and Raising money for children in need were extremely fulfilling accomplishments and memories for Suzy.
As a young and single woman, she sold her salon and went to work for a top professional haircare company “Redken” as a district sales educator where she used her experience of the hair industry to other salons, conventions and behind the scenes at hair shows.
Suzy moved on from the traveling Redken haircare industry and joined her newly married husband (Rick) in the Real Estate business in 1993 as a successful husband and wife team. Though the years she has loved helping clients, using her creative skills to stage homes, remodeling properties, marketing, and special events. All the while helping to raise two stepdaughters and two sons.
Art was always on her mind taking drawing lessons, drawing, and painting here and there. “I knew when all the kids had moved on their own, I could focus on my art.” Much anxiety came with 2020 with her mother’s recent passing, isolation, and the COVID-19 pandemic. During it all, Suzy’s art helped to create “Suzy’s happy place”. “I believe everyone should have hand-made art in their home. It creates comfort, positive memories, and inspiration. I create an art piece with excitement and love in hopes that it can be translated to the new owner.”
