Rick McWhorter
Painter
Affer graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, Rick worked in commercial art and advertising for most of his adult life. For the last several years McWhorter has started a second career in fine art. Previously, most of his fine art had been confined to watercolors and acrylics associated with illustrations for commercial application.
McWhorter has studied at the Art League of Houston, and has painted contemporary/abstract acrylics, traditional watercolors and oils. He also enjoys printmaking, specifically monotype prints. These bright colorful, impressionist styled prints are one of a kind.
Rick splits his time between Texas, the Florida Emerald coast and France, all of which serve as inspiration for his lively art.
